A sport comedy about the 70´s. A laughable basketball team of an unknown league (ABA) has a bunch of mediocre players and a special gift: Jackie Moon (Will Farrell). Jacky is all coach, owner, player and among all he is a hell of a promoter of the Flint Michigan Tropics. He comes up with the weirdest of the ideas to have people come to see the games at the stadium. From fighting a live bear, to singing a funky hit of him that made him famous (“Love me sexy”), to get his players dance in mascots suits. In 76, the ABA is going down to give birth to the NBA, but not before letting the best 4 ABA teams to merge into the latter and the Tropics will fight for a place in this merging deal. For this, Jacky will buy a bench-warmer, Monix (Woody Harrelson) who will try to give his last shot to bring this team to recognition. Score: 5
