Jimmy Carr is one of a kind brilliant, sharp and clever Brittish stand-up comedian.  He’s got some other shows, the one I can relate too is the same recording stand-up comedy evening of year 2005, in which he also exhibited a fantastic way of performing, improvising a lot, just coming up with fantastic ideas “on the fly”, while people would shoot at him from all over with all types of commentaries and questions. Seed

Seed is a disturbing twisted , brutal piece of picture. Right at the beginning, this piece shows part of the appalling video that once reached me by mail with the insensitive bunch of Chinese at a local market place skinning small unoffensive Asian foxes while alive. This already should be enough for the majority of the audiences to leave this film unseen…but I went further and decided to complete the watching. (more…)

The Machinist

First of all, The Machinist is a great story only understood by the last frame of the movie.  Nevertheless I can still not understand the whole buzz made out of this piece,  all the prices and nominations. Second of all, Christian Bale, this guy is an actor, and a disciplined one: how can someone loose almost all his body weight, reach almost zero body fat for a movie? (more…)
