American Pit Bull is a documentary piece about this dog breed with a long history of attacks to humans in late modern history. Originally seems like this breed was created to protect humans against other animal, including other dogs while lately men transformed them into a personal legal (not in every country or state) Smith & Wesson to be used in an aleatory fashion by gang members, owners afraid of their shade and other unsocial ones. It is said in this piece that man is to be blamed and not the dog for “occasional” biting (some of them ending in murder of the bitten), but I don’t thing that is an excused: one of the most frequently biting breed, the Cocker Spaniel, has never caused, to the best of my knowledge, death to anyone. Like the nuclear energy: “It is one of the safest forms…” Yeah, but when it leaks the immediate damage and kill potential is of majestic proportions. In this doc you will see who the owners are, what the trainers say and the bottom line is up to you, I have already made up my mind: allow this breed only to non human owners. My score: 4.
