First of all, The Machinist is a great story only understood by the last frame of the movie. Nevertheless I can still not understand the whole buzz made out of this piece, all the prices and nominations. Second of all, Christian Bale, this guy is an actor, and a disciplined one: how can someone loose almost all his body weight, reach almost zero body fat for a movie? (more…)
I haven´t watched such way of doing an action movie as in Shoot ‘em up. In this movie you will enjoy car stunts, free falling, MacGyver tricks and lots of shooting that have nothing to envy Jackie Chan’s or 007’s movies. Smith, Clive Owen, gets himself involved with a powerful gang of weapons manufacturers who are trying to kill a baby. (more…)
Into the Wild is a beautiful trip into the beautiful side of America. Chris (Emile Hirsch) is a free spirit youngster after his high school graduation and before College, takes live into his hands and decides to cut free all ropes that attached him to his family.
He takes his old car and heads to Alaska ready to face all kind of ordeals and adventures. He decides to let go all material things, burns his money an stars his way mingling with nature on a highway to self encounter. On this he will find interesting aquentances who which he shares knowledge and thoughts. Picture is awesome, music likewise. Sean Penn, well done! Score: 7
There is something special about Get Rich or die Tryin´. It looks so real to me, I don’t know yet whether this is based on a real story but it really looks like it. The movie depicts the life story of a young African American (50 Cent) in a crack neighborhood filled with crime, drugs, hatred, respect and rap. As a youngster, with no father and a drug dealer mother, childhood was not easy. One day her mother got killed and he soon continued her way. (more…)
Obviously the most used word in Baader Meihof is scheize. Apart from all the politics involved in this movie, it´s an action movie about this left wing German terrorist group of the 70´s Red Army Faction (RAF), its terrorists acts, their way of planning, thinking, collaborating with other terrorist groups, etc,… Action is mediocre, actors are not something and the story is one of blood, brain washing and westerners-trying-to-find-something-to-fight-for youngsters but chose the wrong cause shaking hands with others blood thirsty terror groups like the Palestinians ones of the 70´s.
